Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Azure Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud-based data engineering, hands-on experience with Azure services, and a deep understanding of data architecture, ETL processes, and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop scalable and secure data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL.
• Build, test, and deploy ETL/ELT workflows to support data warehousing, analytics, and reporting needs.
• Integrate data from multiple sources including on-premise databases, APIs, and cloud-native sources.
• Develop and maintain robust data models, data lakes, and warehouse structures on Azure.
• Optimize data processing and ensure efficient storage, partitioning, and transformation techniques.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for data workflows and pipelines.
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, security, governance, and compliance with company policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering with at least 3 years on Azure platform.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Azure Blob Storage, and ADF pipelines.
• Strong expertise in SQL, Python, or PySpark for data transformation.
• Experience with building and maintaining data lakes, delta lakes, and modern data architectures.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps), version control (Git), and agile delivery.
• Good understanding of data privacy, compliance, and security best practices.
