Job Title: Final Inspector – Road Tester OEM Exposure: VW / Skoda / MG / Kia / Toyota Department: Quality – Final Inspection / Vehicle Evaluation Location: Coimbatore Experience: 2–6 Years Qualification: ITI / Diploma / BE (Mechanical / Automobile) License: Valid LMV Driving License (Mandatory) Job Summary Responsible for conducting final vehicle inspections and road tests to ensure compliance with OEM quality, safety, and performance standards before vehicle dispatch. Key Responsibilities Perform final inspection and PDI checks as per OEM guidelines (VW / Skoda / MG / Kia / Toyota) Conduct road tests to evaluate: Engine performance & drivability Gear shifting (MT / AT / DSG / CVT) Steering, suspension, braking performance NVH (Noise, Vibration & Harshness) HVAC, infotainment & electrical systems Identify and report quality deviations, abnormal noises, warning lamps, and fit & finish issues Use OEM check sheets, diagnostic tools, and inspection software Coordinate with Production, Quality, Rework & Service teams for defect rectification Ensure re-test and closure of issues after rectification Maintain inspection logs and follow IATF 16949 / ISO quality standards Adhere strictly to safety protocols during testing and inspection Technical Skills Strong understanding of vehicle systems (Engine, Transmission, Chassis, Electrical) Experience with manual & automatic transmissions Knowledge of OEM PDI & audit processes Basic knowledge of OBD diagnostics & scan tools Familiarity with 5S, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement practices Behavioral Skills High attention to detail Good observation and analytical skills Clear communication with cross-functional teams Ability to work in rotational shifts Preferred Experience Prior experience with VW / Skoda / MG / Kia / Toyota plants or Tier-1 suppliers Knowledge of Customer Quality / Warranty feedback (added advantage)
