Java Developer with AI/ML Job Description Sutherland is looking for a Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in AI/ML development and building intelligent workflows using Agentic AI. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about integrating AI-driven solutions into enterprise applications, especially those who thrive on delivering autonomous, efficient, and scalable systems. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering smart solutions while contributing to our Accounts Payable, Procurement, and Supplier Portal platforms. Key Responsibilities Develop and integrate AI/ML features and Agentic AI-based workflows into enterprise applications. Build autonomous workflow agents to optimize and automate key business processes. Strong fundamentals in OOPS concepts, Exception Handling, Coding Standards, and Logging. Proven hands-on experience in Java, Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate, Spring Boot, REST web services, Angular, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, Spring Security, Oracle, PL/SQL, Ant, Maven, Log4J. Design and develop scalable web applications using Spring Boot and Microservices architecture. Build REST APIs and implement robust, AI-driven backend services. Develop scheduling jobs using the Quartz framework. Conduct unit testing (preferably using JUnit) and ensure code quality. Strong understanding of SQL, RDBMS concepts, and database optimization. Collaborate effectively with SMEs, Product Managers, and global development teams to define and deliver AI-powered solutions. Lead technical design, provide mentorship, and contribute significantly to hands-on coding. Participate actively in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Graduation/Post-Graduation in Science or Engineering. 5 to 7 years of Java development experience with at least 2 years of AI/ML and Agentic AI workflow development. Preferred experience in Accounts Payable, Procurement, or Supplier Portal applications. Exposure to building AI-based intelligent document processing, workflow automation, and predictive analytics. Experience with Oracle/SQL databases, Apache Tomcat, ETL tools, CI/CD pipelines, and Git version control. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and enterprise development best practices. Willingness to dedicate significant time to hands-on development. Proven ability to work in large, geographically distributed teams.
